To celebrate and propel this mission forward, the Forbes Vietnam Women’s Summit will reconvene on November 7, 2024. As a premier annual event, it tackles pivotal issues for women’s development and advancement in Vietnam.

Nguyễn Thị Liên Hằng
Professor, Columbia University
Professor Nguyễn Thị Liên Hằng holds the Dorothy Borg Chair in the History of United States-East Asian Relations, serves as Director of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, and is co-founder of Global Vietnam Studies at Columbia University. She also serves on the Board of Trustees at Fulbright University Vietnam.
Professor Liên Hằng received her B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania and her PhD in History from Yale University. She has held fellowships from the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University, and the John M. Olin Institute for Strategic Studies at Harvard University. Before joining the faculty at Columbia, she taught at the University of Kentucky.
Professor Hằng is the author of several books on Vietnamese history, has appeared in numerous historical documentaries and radio programs, and has written editorials for international news agencies.
